Parent Empowerment
Parents with children with a mental disability, such as ADHD, Autism, Learning disorder etc. can now sign up for Parent Empowerment at MHF.
MHF is starting a new cycle of Parent Empowerment for parents with children with a mental disability (ADHD, Autism, Learning disorder, etc.).
Parent Empowerment are parenting sessions that focus on empowering and strengthening the system around the child, so that parents and caregivers can best cater to the needs of their children.
We aim to have parents gain more insight in the functioning of their child by psycho-educating parent on behaviors, difficulties and challenges that accompany psychological or psychiatric disorders. During the sessions parents will be helped to understand the behavior of your children.
With better understanding and newly acquired tools, parents will be better equipped to guide and support their children. Additionally the parent sessions offer parents a platform where they can exchange thoughts, ideas and support each other in the challenging task of parenting a child with mental disabilities. Sessions will be online.
